The September issue of InStyle (with the Uma Thurman cover) is so, so good (not to mention inspiring).

That is all! I just wish more online retailers had free shipping and better return policies.

really?? why is it so so good?? i shld check it out...
i'm always sooo tempted to buy all the sept issues of the big fashion mags..but that's like..a lot of money and..super heavy. hahaha

(me too!!!! that's why i mostly just buy shoes online..or target--most stuff is free shipping after $50 so i buy up to $50 and return it in store--u just have to make sure the stuff u buy online can be returned in the store hah)

Hey Ling! Yep, I'm in the Bay Area. But everyone's going to LA for the weekend, I think. Ho well. I'm settling in, still. I have most of my stuff now...except for cable and (legal) internet. And that box that is still at the Post Office 0.o

Yeah, why is it inspiring? I think Uma looks kind of awkward on the cover, actually. Like she's in pain, a bit.

It's just packed with so much practical, use-able content, organized in an easily accessible way. I can't judge the aesthetics or the design elements (I'm NOT an artist!), but in terms of value, almost every page and article seems to have a payoff. For me, at least. Or, maybe I just like this season's fashions? Haha.

It's inspiring in the sense that it gives me ideas that I can tweak to fit into my own work (potentially).

I do almost all of my shopping online, and almost all of the retailers I use have free shipping and free return shipping as well, whether it be clothes or shoes. Plus, a lot of them still have no tax. :) Now, America just needs to get up to speed with food delivery like in Asia. At least in Korea, every restaurant delivers almost everything to your door and even picks up the plates about an hour later. Then I would never have to leave my house. Then again, maybe it's a good thing not everything is delivered here...
